The Neighbourhood Village

When we were working in Jakarta, the odd flood was an inconvenience for us, but it was a way of life for the village slum next door to our office.
We wanted to help raise money for the families living there, so in an odd little stunt, we decided to put the entire village up on Airbnb. For $10, you can experience living there for yourself.
Then something amazing happened- sites like Fast Company, The Next Web, PSFK, Campaign Brief, Mumbrella, AdAge and CBC picked up the story. People started donating money even though they couldn't stay. We are still accepting donations to this day.
