Back in its heyday, Yahoo! had a suite of products that rivalled Google- search, Flickr, News, Messenger and many more. To get people to use these products more, the Purple Hunt was conceived. It was an online treasure hunt that hid clues across all of Yahoo!'s products so as people hunted down these clues, they interacted with these products as well.
